Do they usually do another ultrasound after 28 weeks?

I had my last ultrasound at 18 weeks, will they do another one? I am now 28 weeks.

Usually once you have your gender/anatomy scan…that’s the last one they’ll do unless there’s a reason to do another or you’re willing to pay out of pocket without the insurance help. I was fortunate. I mentioned that I really wanted to have another one and my doctor told me to wait a few weeks and shed find a reason so my insurance would pay for it. I just happened to be measuring 3 weeks ahead so she wanted to “check my amniotic fluid” and I was able to get one that was covered by insurance at 32 weeks. (Including a 3d one!)
